Learn to Play Program

Start their hockey journey the right way.

The Ice Vault Learn to Play Hockey Program is an introductory program designed for first-time hockey players ages 10 and under who want to learn the fundamentals of the game in a safe, supportive, and fun environment. This program is ideal for children who can skate forward unassisted in hockey skates and are ready to take the next step toward organized hockey.

Our experienced coaching staff focuses on building confidence while teaching essential skills that form the foundation of the game. Our mission is to develop each player’s skills while fostering a love for hockey in a positive, age-appropriate setting.

Program Focus

Players will be introduced to:

Basic skating skills, including stopping and turning
Stick handling fundamentals
Introductory team play concepts
On-ice awareness and confidence

Equipment Requirements

Full equipment is required to participate in the Learn to Play Program.

$225 for the full session

Drop-in Option

Each session is $25.
Drop-ins are welcome, but pre-registration is required for each session prior to arrival.

All participants in hockey programs at the Ice Vault must be registered with USA Hockey for the year in which you will participate.

Proof of registration is required to participate in any league, clinic, or program
