Air Quality at the Ice Vault

To all Ice Vault Customers:
Subject: Air Quality in Ice Rinks

In light of a recent news story we like our customers to be informed on what steps are taken to insure excellent air quality.

Here at the Ice Vault we have always been at the forefront of maintaining a safe and comfortable facility for our customers. The Ice Vault is one of the newest arenas in the Tri State area and was designed with state of the art zamboni’s, HVAC, and dehumidification units. To assure proper air quality all equipment is tuned and check for proper operations and maximum performance.

We use propane powered zamboni’s with the latest emission control system installed which keeps air quality well below the EPA standards. To assure that all equipment is running properly we also set in place an air monitoring program to check for levels of carbon monoxide and nitrogen dioxide.  All of our HVAC and dehumidification’s units have a fresh air intake that continually exchanges the air within the building with fresh air from outside.  All locker rooms are equipped with RTU systems with motion sensor that turn on our air exchange units when players enter these rooms. Hopefully explaining our building management systems help answer any concern you may have regarding our air quality and how seriously we address this issue.

If you have any question regarding this please speak with Mariann Reiss or Robert Mech.
